I am a Greek Counselling psychodynamic counsellor. I have worked for over 4 years in the NHS and voluntary sector, working in collaboration with people from all walks of life, helping them to understand and cope with a broad range of emotional issues and distress.
My therapy approach to healing and recovery is through administrating psychoanalytic and integrative psychotherapy techniques. I am extremely passionate about my work, and I am devoted to helping and supporting others in their quest towards self-healing and being able to enhance their wellbeing. Using different psychological strategies and a tailored individual needs plan; I am able to help clients achieve a sustainable positive lasting change.
Areas that are of particular interest to me include psychosis, depression and anxiety disorders. Much of my work environment has been in day mental health centres, psychiatric hospitals and care homes. I have also worked with individuals who have suffered emotional trauma after having suffered sexual harassment and/or abuse.
In any strong relationship there must be trust and integrity. My charter is that at all times I will be professional in my approach, working together and collaboratively with my clients to ensure that their goals are met, and in a friendly manner. Client confidentiality is assured at all times and I adhere to all the professional guidelines of the British Psychological Society.
Being fluent in Greek as well as English, I am happy to offer therapy in Greek to those who require it.
